Mona & Luca in Paris: A Celebration Under the Eiffel Tower

Paris does not really need an introduction, but every so often the city finds a way to surprise you all over again. That is exactly what happened here. For Mona and Luca, celebrating across several days with their closest family and friends, Paris became the backdrop for something quietly unforgettable, near the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre.

Days That Felt Like Family

What stayed with me most from these days was not one single image, but a feeling: the sense of closeness that carried through everything. Mona and Luca's circle did not feel like guests, it felt like family gathered around two people they clearly adore. You could see it in every glance, every shared meal, every quiet moment tucked between the bigger ones.

The Days

It began close to the ground, quite literally. Getting ready and the couple shoot took place in an apartment right beneath the Eiffel Tower, close enough that the tower filled the windows. There is something different about starting a day that way, with the city's most iconic silhouette watching over the first nervous moments.

From there, the days unfolded slowly across the city, family and friends moving together between landmarks, with the Louvre offering its own quiet grandeur as a backdrop to a few of the calmer, more reflective frames.

Evenings brought everyone back together again, the kind of unhurried time where a city as busy as Paris suddenly feels intimate, made just for the people gathered in it.

Captured on Digital and Super 8

I photographed the days digitally and shot Super 8 alongside it, letting the film carry the softer, more fleeting moments while the digital images held onto the detail and the light. Together they give a fuller sense of how the days actually felt.

Going through the images now, I noticed something I did not expect: I fell in love with Paris again, seeing it through Mona and Luca's days there.
